Top 6 Google Map Modules for Drupal

If you need a Google Map module or block for your Drupal site then check out our list to choose your favourite one.

Google Map is the best option if you are going to show your location to your visitors on your website.
Here are the great modules and blocks for Drupal:

#1 Simple Google Maps

This module is about the simplest way to get a Google Map, and/or a link to a Google Map, displayed with your content. It provides a field formatter for Drupal plain text fields. You enter an address that Google Maps can recognize in the plain text field, and the formatter displays it as a dynamic map, a static map (without the ability to zoom/pan etc.), a link to Google Maps, or some combination.

#2 Google Map Field

This module allows content creators/maintainers to add maps to content via the addition of a “Google Map Field” field type that can be added to content types.
Using the google map field, the user can drop a marker on a map, and set the zoom factor of the map and save the data for the map with the node (or other fieldable entity).
Only standard map controls are shown by default (Zoom pan up/down/left/right, Map/Satelite). This may be enhanced to include more controls in a future version.

#3 Styled Google Map

Create a styled Google map in as few steps possible. This module integrates as a geofield formatter, which means you can have all settings in one place. You have options that include setting a custom style, custom marker and custom marker icon.

#4 Google Map Static

Google Map Static module allows to switch easily between interactive google maps (iframe) and static image maps (img).
Sometimes you scroll the page with the map and try to look what’s under it but all you can scroll is the map.
We found a solution of this usability problem. Our module allows you to replace the iframe with a static image map. User can switch to the interactive map and back any time. The iframe map will be opened either in the popup, in a new window or in the same map area depending on what option you choose in the module settings.

#5 Gmap Module

The GMap module provides an interface to the Google Maps API within Drupal. It integrates with the Location module to provide users a clickable map for entering latitude and longitude, as well as to display maps of Drupal nodes and users. GMap can be used to create interactive maps with various map markers and content in map bubbles, taking advantage of Drupal’s other content management features. The module also provides a Views display plugin which allows users to display the results of a view on a Google map.

#6 Colorized Gmap Module

Colorized gmap module allows to add a google map on the site as a drupal block and customize it. At the colorized gmap block creation page you are able to customize a standard google map (e.g. to colorize water, landscape , etc.) You will see changes on the map after every action.
